Not quite as warm as it would of been in spring, Ian and Charlotte Williams took to the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield to finally run in there postponed half marathon. With a majority of the park on a incline, a good share of mud and a new route it would be a challenge. Unlike previous years the course would stick to the wide tracks, keep away from the parks busier areas and have staggered starts to keep it covid friendly. ‘We only had a few people go past us but we managed to overtake nearly 20 which was great for confidence! Said Charlotte. Both finished in a great 2.17 dipping into the top 100 overall with Charlotte making the top 10 in her age. ‘We thoroughly enjoyed it. We were happy to just be out wearing the club vest and racing semi competitively again’.
