A soggy out and back along the seafront from Sandown to Shanklin promised some super speedy times given the pancake flat nature of the course. Starting at Sandown Zoo four of our trusty Roadrunners lined up in the rain to make the dash along to Hope Beach in Shanklin and back.
Steve Rumsey put in his usual 100% effort to arrive back to the Zoo to take the 1st Overall Veteran, somewhat damp but happy.
Matt was next to collect his medal at the finishline
“That was wet and cold!” He chirps
Simon Paul continued his rise in performance and confidence as he was rewarded with another PB. Tom Forster ran with his son Louis to finish in a tidy 50 odd minutes.
“He certainly kept me on my toes”
