IOWRR Club 10k Championships happened last night. Due to our change of club house the route was completely changed this year. Starting and finishing at The Riverside, taking in three large hills of Newport.
Guests were invited with medals and chip butties awarded to all participants, although prizes saved just for pre-entered IOWRR’s. We had awards for 1st-3rd Men and Women finishers, shields for winners and finally 1st-3rd closest to their nominated times.
First lady home was Trish Train, continuing with her winning streak, second Abi Farwell and third was Jenny Dewing.
For the men first back was Paul Cameron, second Steve Rumsey and third Tom Forster.
Closest nominated times: Simon Riley 3rd, Kelly Forster and Garry Sharp 2nd, Trish Train and Rich Whittington joint 1st with 2 seconds out! They were all awarded money and the winners will collaboratively select a charity for a donation from IOWRR’s.
Finally a massive thank you to all those who helped arrange, marshal, water-stop, time keep and help out ensuring our club champ’s were a great success!
