Thank you Matt Fletcher for the race info….
The final race of the HRRL season saw 7 Road Runners make the trip over the water. 4 lads and 3 lasses were on the 6:30 ferry.
Conditions were not too hot, but dry and comfortable. The race was basically an out and back with 5K being the turnaround point.
Matt was puzzled though… “The strange thing is 85% of the race seemed down-hill!” It obviously felt easy for Matt, and he streaked home first of the IWRR in a swift 42:44.
Carolyn clocked up her fastest time over the Lorsdhill course and said of the race “Bit of a breeze today but still warm and stuffy on the shrub lined paths. It was busy with over 700 runners on the narrow twisting course.”
Tim Nobes did well despite being tripped by another competitor. Jon Bye did well despite feeling under the weather.
Pete stole the show though with another massive PB, shaving 6 minutes off his best 10K time.
Results follow, PBs in results are distance PBs…
