The first in a series of three races, the Roadrunners were on the startline despite not being eligible to place in the race itself. The Ryde Harriers Championship saw wet and muddy conditions as drizzle prevailed throughout the morning, making a dull and cold January morning feel all the more Wintery.
With 5 miles ahead of the girls and 7 for boys, the course was waterlogged and muddy. But this didn’t deter the hardy Runners despite the persistent precipitation.
Breaking with tradition, a couple of the girls chose to run the “men’s” distance.
