Bright and sunny weather of 24c greeted the runners as they lined up for the inaugural Osborne House Fun Run. Opening the grounds for the first time for this type of event, the gardens of this historic house looked resplendent in the sunshine. The run was part of the hospices 35th anniversary of fundraising celebrations and was suitable for all ages and abilities.
2 of our lovely roadrunners Lyn Snow and Emma Ford, ran through the grounds of this Victorian Summer palace to help raise funds for this wonderful local cause.
“I ran with my sister in memory of my dad” said Emma “It would have been his 74th Birthday”
What beautiful motivation to run.
“It was a lovely atmosphere to be honest, it’s the first time anyone has been allowed to run around the actual grounds of Osborne. The route took us around the grounds down to the beach and back up quite a big hill finally returning to the back gardens of the house”
“It was an amazing and fun day and the 35 th year of hospice fund raising, it was also fantastic to see a sea of yellow Mountbatten vests and everyone was really supportive of each other”
