Two IOWRR’s battled wind and rain to complete the 2015 Coastal Marathon and Ultra being 26.2 and 31 miles respectively. The ultra was an addition to the already run marathon and half marathon all in aid of the RNLI. Both are multi-terrian and flat with some fantastic views across Langstone Harbour, running from South Parade Pier to the end of Hayling Billy Line with the marathon returning at this point. The ultra follows the waterside marathon route and adds in some raw elements of a loop around the west side of Hayling island. Then returning to the finish line at the Pyramid Centre.
This was Steve’s 122nd marathon and Ians first ultra – well done both of you, fantastic results:
