Two IOWRR’s travelled to Samphire Hoe in Kent, a man made nature reserve. This event is Tolkien themed, the event date falling so close to several famous Hobbits’ birthdays! The 3.85 mile loop course is a sealed surface mix of gently rolling trail and flat sea wall, all within the shadow of the White Cliffs of Dover.
Clare and Steve had a 6hr time limit to complete as many loops as they were able – 7 is an official marathon and 8 or more is considered an ultra.
