Alresford 10K – HRRL #11

Sunday 16th June 2024 – Report by Charlotte Stockley

Alresford 10k was the penultimate run in this season’s HRRL. It is set in the market town of Alresford, with the route heading out through the town, past the famous watercress beds and into the local countryside. A large part of the course is an out and back, which was nice to be able to cheer on passing runners as we went. The downside though was reaching the turn around point and realising that those few downhills we’d just run were now going to be uphill’s!
All 5 IWRR’s ran well achieving good times on a challenging course. Well done to Joshua Price, who was the first IWRR home and 3rd place overall in 33:38. Crossing the finish line we were met with some alternative prizes which included a bag of locally grown watercress, a locally made cookie and an Alresford 10K buff

Josh Price: 33:38
Matt Wiper: 44:26
David Blake: 47:09
Charlotte Stockley: 56:28
