Lymington 10k

Gorgeous scenery matched by gorgeous weather. The 16th Lymington 10k was once again a resounding success. Raising money for the local RNLI, this is running for a good cause at its best.

Five of our roadrunners made the early boat trip across the water to take part in this well organised race.

Starting in Woodside Park, this fast and flat course wound it’s way around quiet country lanes and wide gravel tracks, then finally out onto the sea wall and back to Woodside Park.

“It was cold and gusty to start, but the sunshine helped to clear away the cobwebs and really lifted our spirits” said Harry

It was big smiles all round on the finish line, with Harry Vernon being the first one home storming over the line to a brand new shiney PB of over 2 minutes. Next in was a Sara Truckel returning to fine form this season followed by Margaret Niland-Murphy and Julie Salter. Tracy Pole displayed her now legendary sprint finish to achieve her first sub 1 hour 10k time, taking an impressive 4 minutes off her previous best.
