It was a typically hot sunny evening which saw men tackle one direction and women the other. The route&#8217;s an undulating mostly footpathed course:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?attachment_id=799\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-799\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-799\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club-10k.jpg\" alt=\"club 10k\" width=\"246\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club-10k.jpg 510w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club-10k-215x300.jpg 215w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" \/><\/a>We had a staggering 62 IWRR&#8217;s compete with the club opening up entry to Ryde Harriers and guests.<\/p>\n<p>Medals were awarded to all who completed the distance:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?attachment_id=800\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-800\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-800\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club.jpg\" alt=\"club\" width=\"367\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club.jpg 1219w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club-300x190.jpg 300w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/club-1024x649.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 367px) 100vw, 367px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>IWRR&#8217;s were also eligible for trophies being awarded to 1st-3rd Women and Men. The winner of the nominations was Claire Campbell who was only 1 second away from her estimated time made even harder to estimate as it was only revealed after submission of time which direction each sex had to tackle. Claire&#8217;s charity of choice was KissyPuppy. A big IWRR thank you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarkesmechanical.com\/\">Clarkes Mechanical<\/a> for donating the much needed water, our local running shop &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.love-running.com\/\">Love Running<\/a> for donating prizes and good bags and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skintrade.co.uk\/\">Skintrade <\/a>for the tasty vegan cake.
