The weather was perfect; bright sunshine and mild temperatures. The race starts at the avenue de Champs Elysee, with the masses queuing up to an hour to cross the start line. Then the runners\u00a0head down the Rue de Rivoli, and to the outskirts of east Paris into the nicknamed &#8220;Paris Lungs&#8221;, finishing in the leafy Bois de Vincennes, which is also Paris&#8217; largest park. Runners are treated to an incomparable backdrop, with spectacular views and historic landmarks,\u00a0Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, Arc du Triomphe, and\u00a0the Tuileries tunnels mile 17.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?attachment_id=1201\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1201\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1201\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/paris-mara-1-1024x492.jpg\" alt=\"paris mara\" width=\"526\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/paris-mara-1-1024x492.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/paris-mara-1-300x144.jpg 300w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/paris-mara-1-768x369.jpg 768w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/paris-mara-1.jpg 1502w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 526px) 100vw, 526px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Danny completed Paris Marathon with a PB time of 2 hours 57 minutes and 2 seconds &#8211; amazing running, well done Danny!
