The new faster flatter course of 2015 was utilised again due to popular demand.<\/p>\n<p>Runners commenced the race in\u00a0the stunning parkland of Green Park and continued\u00a0round the highlights of the town centre of Reading\u00a0experiencing huge crowd support whilst also passing through beautiful grounds of the University campus. The final straight took\u00a0them\u00a0into the magnificent Madejski Stadium where they experienced a finish like no other.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?attachment_id=1196\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1196\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1196\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/reading.jpg\" alt=\"reading\" width=\"622\" height=\"784\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/reading.jpg 622w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/reading-238x300.jpg 238w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The race is perfect for both the experienced athlete looking for a new PB and the complete beginner looking for a friendly safe and fun environment to run in. The new course from 2015 with minor undulations, being very conducive to PB&#8217;s, attracts a field of 19,500 runners with one of the largest elite fields another attraction being\u00a0the biggest individual prize pot in UK road racing with a guaranteed prize fund of \u00a330,000.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?attachment_id=1194\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1194\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1194\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/vital.jpg\" alt=\"vital\" width=\"437\" height=\"328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/vital.jpg 437w, https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/vital-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Steve finished in a time of 01:54:21 in 3870th position &#8211; brilliant!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steve Morris partook in the Vitality Reading Half Marathon.
