{"id":7938,"date":"2023-06-04T20:38:29","date_gmt":"2023-06-04T20:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?p=7938"},"modified":"2023-06-04T20:38:29","modified_gmt":"2023-06-04T20:38:29","slug":"ox-races-10k-and-frolic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?p=7938","title":{"rendered":"OX RACES &#8211; 10K and FROLIC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>4 Isle of Wight Road Runners travelled to Cranbourne Chase to take part in the &#8216;Ox Races&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoe Elliot, Steve Apsey, Julie Rasmussen and Steve Hickman turned up to the beautiful Rushmore estate in the sunshine ready for their races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First in action was Steve Apsey on the Saturday.  Steve ran the 10k Light Ox in a swift 47:32, placing him in 6th place. You know the drill with these by now.  Here&#8217;s the course, run as many laps as you want.  Zoe, Steve H kicked things off at 8am, Julie arrived at 8.15 and ran fast to catch them up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1296\" height=\"1728\" src=\"https:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoe_hickman.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7942\" srcset=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoe_hickman.jpg 1296w, http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoe_hickman-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoe_hickman-1152x1536.jpg 1152w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1296px) 100vw, 1296px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The laps in this case were just over 5 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve and Zoe did 2 laps and persuaded each other to do a third. 15.5 miles in total in 3.27.
