A staggering 68 IWRR’s represented the club at the Needles XC Half Marathon which is\u00a0organised\u00a0by club members and West Wight Sports\u00a0Center\u00a0with lots more IWRR’s supporting this local race\u00a0marshalling\u00a0and cheering on the runners.<\/p>\n

This is a tough course which was made even tougher with the sweltering mid-day heat of Sunday. \u00a0A very picturesque route traversing beaches, paths and fields. For some of the road runners this was their first time racing this distance and for others a club debut race so a huge well done for tackling such a hard Half Marathon and some even managed a course PB.<\/p>\n

Our runners scooped a lot of the team prizes coming home with first and second men’s and women’s teams. First, second and third mixed teams!<\/p>\n

\"needlex3\"<\/a>A host of individual prizes including first IOW woman and 2nd V35 for Judy with Hayley 3rd V35. For the men Paul was\u00a02nd overall, 1st IOW man home and also 1st V40!! Aaron was 3rd Senior man, Stu was 2nd V40 with Nick 3rd V40. Finally Pete was 1st V50:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
