This sold out race is known to be a fast and furious course. With 2800 runners, and nearly \u00a34000 in the prize kitty, despite being dropped from the Hampshire Road Race League this season, it\u2019s still the largest 10k in the South.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"987\" height=\"734\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/09852ED6-E8F5-4C98-A2E6-89102C956661.jpeg?fit=474%2C324\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5380\" srcset=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/09852ED6-E8F5-4C98-A2E6-89102C956661.jpeg 987w, http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/09852ED6-E8F5-4C98-A2E6-89102C956661-768x571.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 987px) 100vw, 987px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting at an early 9am at the Fleming Park Leisure Centre, the course flips a right on Shakespeare Road, loops around bringing the runners into the long and straight Woodside Avenue. A long way off my PB but really enjoyed racing again.
