{"id":3923,"date":"2018-05-21T16:27:37","date_gmt":"2018-05-21T16:27:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?p=3923"},"modified":"2018-05-21T16:27:37","modified_gmt":"2018-05-21T16:27:37","slug":"buckingham-half-marathon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/?p=3923","title":{"rendered":"Buckingham Half Marathon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fresh from his high octane performance at the MK Rocket 5k, our junior Harry Rann was back in his white blue and red vest this time in Buckingham.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/43BBE71F-E8C2-4F89-8417-36F276431C59.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3935\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/43BBE71F-E8C2-4F89-8417-36F276431C59.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"354\" height=\"966\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Starting at Maids Moreton Playing Fields, this scenic, undulating single lap winds it\u2019s way around the glorious countryside of the county, visiting the towns and villiages of Leckhampstead, Wicker and Akeley along the way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/4AD48986-A0BA-4697-9AB9-4C3FB91917C3.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3936\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/4AD48986-A0BA-4697-9AB9-4C3FB91917C3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"601\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temperatures rose sharply as Harry got off to a blistering start.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was so hot\u201d said our superstar junior. \u201cI was chucking water over my head at all the water stations\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Undeterred, Harry powered his way around the course, crossing the line back at the playing fields in 1.31.05 and a stonking 16th overall and 7th in his age category.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was much hillier than the Island half and the heat was insane. I had a bit of a wobble when I\u2019d finished.
