From family orientated 1k and 5k options to chip timed 10k and 1\/2 marathon. \u00a0All set with the backdrop of Bournemouth&#8217;s 7 mile stretch of golden sands and sparkling sea. Being the 35th anniversary of the race it was 1980s themed with runners encouraged to run in fancy dress to add to the party atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1821\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1546.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1546\" width=\"714\" height=\"538\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But it was business heads on for our dynamic duo as they tackled the 10k route, taking Ashleigh&#8217;s older sister Danni along for her first ever competitive race.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1822\" src=\"http:\/\/isleofwightroadrunners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1539.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1539\" width=\"768\" height=\"580\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Michael blasted his way around to finish an amazing 4th overall in a super speedy 36.05.
